In its ongoing efforts to advance medical education and healthcare standards in the country, The College President, Dr Peter Ebeigbe, FMCOG, PNMC and the College Registrar, Dr Fatiu Arogundade, FMCP held a series of high-level meetings with key stakeholders in a week. These included:
– The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health
– The Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare
– The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare
– The Honourable Minister of State for Education
– The President, Nigeria Medical Association
These meetings focused on enhancing understanding, support, and funding for the College’s programmes and activities, as well as obtaining valuable feedback from core stakeholders in the health sector.
Additionally, the discussions led to enhanced collaboration with the Nigeria Medical Association on postgraduate medical training initiatives, and the establishment of new partnerships aimed at improving healthcare delivery and education in Nigeria.
