The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria hereby requests interested and suitably qualified Fellows to apply for the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical Journal.
Qualification
- Candidates must be registered Medical and Dental Practitioners, MUST have been a Fellow of the College for not less than Ten (10) years; and must be conversant with the faculty and College procedures.
- Candidates will be assessed using the criteria below:
- Record of previous experience(s) in editorial work, journal review, publishing and manuscript management.
- Knowledge of local/international guidelines and policies regarding journal publication.
- Possess skills to establish an effective system to institute and manage subscriptions to electronic local/international journals.
- Must be willing to commit ample time to the Journal unit of the College and travel on assignment regarding the Journal unit.
- List of publications with Nigerian Postgraduate Medical Journal.
Applicants are required to submit a One (1) A4 page proposal on how to make the Journal Unit self-sustaining and improve the impact factor at the same time. The proposal should be submitted along with a resume and portfolio.
